Solving Bike Trailer Insurance Issues

Sample Quotes

Goldwing Trailer

Frank, 68 from Eastbourne, and his wife were off for a tour round Europe on his Goldwing. Even with the Panniers on the bike, they were still finding that they needed more space. Frank purchased a specialist Goldwing trailer to tow with them on their tour. The trailer wasn't cheap at £3,000 and Frank was looking for a comprehensive insurance policy for it. He called Bikesure and they were able to offer this for £127.70 for the year.

Frank's fully comprehensive quote is a snip at just £127.70, with third party, fire and theft cover an even cheaper option at £114.80.

Car towing a trailer

Lenny, 34 from Cambridge, likes to take his off road bike for a ride out at the weekend, rather than unload his van every week to put the bike in, he brought himself a trailer to transport it round. The trailer itself was worth £2,200 and Lenny was looking to have it insured. He found that many insurer's could not offer cover for just the trailer. He called Bikesure and found they would cover just the trailer fully comprehensive and for just £84.80 for the year.

His rate is a mere £84.80 for fully comprehensive SD&P cover.
