Unbelievable! This 38-year-old Honda 250 has done just 3.5 miles

This must be a record. A 38-year-old Honda 250 CB Super Dream motorcycle is coming up for sale – and it has clocked just three-and-a-half miles from new.

Not surprising then that the Honda 250 CB is in pristine condition and scores 131 out of 135 in the auctioneer’s pre-sale condition check.

There’s more good news because the 1979 model is valued at between £4,000 and £6,000, which must be a bargain price.

The Honda 250 CB was a popular machine manufactured between 1978 and 1986. There were more than 70,000 sold in the UK alone but there can’t possibly be one in a better condition than this is example.

Honda 250 ready to use or simply admire

The 249cc Honda 250 CB is being sold by Classic Car Auctions on September 23. A spokesman at CCA said: “It’s unbelievable but true, 3.5 miles recorded…

“It’s ready to use now or simply to admire as part of a collection.”

The Honda 250CB has an air-cooled, four-stroke parallel twin, sohc, 3 valves per cylinder with six-speed transmission.

It was supplied new by Thulecraft of Lerwick in Shetland but the first owner never used it.

It changed hands and the second and current owner rolled it to a showroom in 2014 where it has remained without turning a wheel for the past three years.
