Sunbeam, based in Wolverhampton, made their own motorcycles between 1912 and 1939. The company was founded by John Marston and started making bicycles in 1887. The brand was sold to AMC in 1937 and then sold on to BSA in 1943. After the war BSA made several bikes under the Sunbeam name, and between 1956 and 1964 also produced some scooters - the last motorbikes to carry the Sunbeam brand.
