Cotton was a Gloucester based motorcycle manufacturer, founded in 1918. Prior to WW2 the company offered a wide choice of engines all fitted into the patented Cotton Triangulated Frame. After the war, the company continued using third party engines, notably Villiers, with their own frames. After Villiers went out of business and Japanese competition started to bite, Cotton finally ceased production in 1980.
