Armstrong-CCM when, in 1981, Armstrong acquired a majority share in the <CCM business formed by Arthur Clews in 1971 from BSA's off-road competition division. As well as trail and motocross bikes, Armstrong also made off-road and military bikes, such as the MT500, which saw service in the Falklands. The company was sold back to CCM in 1987, with the military bike division going to Harley Davidson.
